Five Easy Tricks to Relieve Stress Naturally
Inhale, Exhale, Just Breathe
In the moments where you start to feel control slipping away from you & you can feel the presence of an imminent breakdown, close your eyes. With your eyes closed, let the world fall away for a moment & focus on your breath. Take a moment to feel yourself inhale, & then focus on your breath as it leaves your body.
To help yourself focus on your breaths try counting each breath. Count to ten & then start over again. Keep your eye closed & your focus on your breathing until you feel yourself regain control.
Write it Down
When stress starts to build, sometimes what you need is a release of the tension. If stress is permitted to fester, the release of stress can be manifested in negative & damaging ways such as lashing out at loved ones or physical symptoms such as illness.
Instead of allowing stress to linger, let it flow through you & out of you through the tip of your pen. Write down how you are feeling, what you are stressed about & an action plan of what needs to be done to relieve stress & tension. If a series of tasks are stressing you out, write down a list of how you are going to accomplish these tasks. A solid game plan puts you back in control of your life & how you feel & leaves you feeling like you've got a handle on the situation.

Stress can manifest itself in a number of different ways, the most common of which is frustration. In the moments when we experience frustration, whether it be frustration with our co-workers, our boss, our partners or our friends, sometimes this is really just stress in a disguise.
Allowing stress to hide itself beneath frustration can be damaging. Not only is frustration an unpleasant emotion, but it typically results in lashing out & hurting those around you. Instead of allowing frustration to take hold of you, take a moment to unpack your frustrated feelings to discover what is at their root. What you will often find yourself faced with is a situation that has been stressing you out causing negative feelings.
With the stressor now revealed, you can begin to face stress head-on & work through the stress or tension.
